  • 2 1/23 Cups Organic All-Purpose Flour
  • 1 Packet (0.25 oz.) Active Dry Yeast
  • 2 Tbsp Cane Sugar
  • 2 Tbsp Melted Vegan Butter (+ more for topping)
  • 1 Cup Slightly Warm Water
  • 1 Tsp Salt
  • Coarse Salt for topping

Instructions

  1. Activate the yeast by mixing slightly warm water with sugar; sprinkle yeast on top and let sit until frothy.
  2. Stir in melted vegan butter and salt, then gradually add flour until the dough forms.
  3. Knead the dough for 3-5 minutes until firm, then let it rise covered in a warm place for about an hour.
  4. Prepare simmering water with baking soda while preheating the oven to 450°F.
  5. Shape the risen dough into pretzel shapes, dip each in the baking soda solution, and place on a baking tray.
  6. Brush with melted vegan butter, sprinkle with coarse salt, and bake for 10-15 minutes until golden brown.
