  • 1/3 cup Whole Milk (warm to the touch (100-115ºF))
  • 2 cups All-Purpose Flour
  • 1 1/2 tsp Instant Yeast (1/2 package)
  • 2 tbsp Light Brown Sugar
  • 1 tsp Ground Cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp Salt
  • 1/2 cup Pumpkin Puree
  • 1 tbsp Unsalted Butter (melted)
  • 1 large Egg (lightly beaten)
  • 2 tbsp Light Brown Sugar (lightly packed)
  • 2 tbsp Granulated Sugar
  • 1/2 tbsp Ground Cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp Ground Ginger
  • 1/4 tsp Ground Nutmeg
  • 1/8 tsp AllSpice
  • 1/8 tsp Ground Cloves
  • 3 tbsp Unsalted Butter (room temperature)
  • 2 tbsp Unsalted Butter (room temperature)
  • 2 tbsp Pure Maple Syrup
  • 1 tsp Vanilla Extract
  • 2 tbsp Whole Milk
  • 2 cups Sifted Powdered Sugar
  • 1/8 tsp Salt
  • 1 large Egg Yolk
  • 1 tbsp Water

Instructions

  1. Warm 1/3 cup of whole milk (100-115°F) and combine it with 2 cups of all-purpose flour, 1½ tsp of instant yeast, 2 tbsp of light brown sugar, 1 tsp of ground cinnamon, and ¼ tsp of salt in a mixing bowl.
  2. Stir in ½ cup of pumpkin puree and 1 tbsp of melted unsalted butter. Add in 1 lightly beaten egg and mix until a dough forms.
  3. Knead on a floured surface for about 5 minutes until smooth. Place in an oiled bowl, cover it with a cloth, and let rise for about 60 minutes until doubled.
  4. Roll out the dough into a rectangle; spread room temperature butter over it.
  5. Mix together filling ingredients: 2 tbsp light brown sugar, 2 tbsp granulated sugar, and spices; sprinkle over buttered dough.
  6. Roll tightly into a log shape and slice into 6 equal pieces. Place in a greased baking dish, cover again, and let rise for another 30 minutes.
  7. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and bake for about 25 minutes until golden brown.
  8. For frosting: Beat together room temperature butter, maple syrup, vanilla extract, whole milk, powdered sugar, salt, egg yolk, and water until smooth.
  9. Drizzle frosting over warm rolls before serving.
