  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 cup finely chopped onions
  • 1 cup finely chopped mushrooms
  • 1 cup shredded Swiss cheese
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tablespoon ketchup
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 cup ketchup (for topping)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a skillet over medium heat, cook turkey bacon until crispy; crumble and set aside.
  3. Sauté chopped onions and mushrooms in the same skillet until tender; let cool slightly.
  4. In a large mixing bowl, combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, milk, Parmesan cheese, crumbled turkey bacon, shredded Swiss cheese, sautéed onions and mushrooms, eggs, Worcestershire sauce, ketchup, garlic powder, thyme, salt, and pepper. Mix until just combined.
  5. Shape the mixture into a loaf form on a lined baking sheet and spread ketchup on top.
  6. Bake for 60–70 minutes or until the internal temperature reaches 160°F (71°C).
  7. Let rest for about 10 minutes before slicing.
