  • 1 lb ground turkey
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/3 cup grated parmesan cheese
  • 1 shredded zucchini
  • 1 egg
  • 2 tsp dried minced onion
  • 2 tsp dried minced garlic
  • 2 tsp dried basil
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 cup marinara sauce
  • 8 oz shredded cheese (mozzarella and provolone blend)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and spray a casserole dish with cooking spray.
  2. In a large bowl, mix together ground turkey, shredded zucchini, egg, minced onion, garlic, basil, salt, and half of the mozzarella.
  3. Form the mixture into approximately 24 meatballs and place them in the prepared casserole dish.
  4. Bake for about 30 minutes until cooked through, then drain any excess liquid.
  5. Top with marinara sauce and the remaining cheese; bake for an additional 10-15 minutes until melted.
