  • 2 tsp coarse kosher salt
  • ¼ tsp black pepper
  • 1 tbsp minced garlic
  • 1 medium onion (finely chopped)
  • ¼ cup avocado oil mayonnaise
  • ¼ cup unsweetened ketchup
  • 1 tbsp mustard
  • 1 ½ cups shredded sharp cheddar cheese (divided)
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • olive oil spray for the baking dish

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and spray a 2-quart baking dish with olive oil.
  2. In a large skillet over medium-high heat, heat olive oil, add chopped onions and ground beef, cooking until browned (about 5 minutes). Drain excess liquid.
  3. Stir in black pepper, minced garlic, and kosher salt; cook for another few minutes.
  4. Turn off heat and mix in unsweetened ketchup, avocado mayonnaise, mustard, and one cup of shredded cheddar cheese.
  5. Transfer the mixture to the baking dish, topping with remaining cheddar cheese.
  6. Bake for about 15 minutes until the cheese is melted or broil for 1-2 minutes if broiler-safe.
