Ingredients

  • 2 tbsp avocado or olive oil
  • 56 cups broccoli florets
  • 1 lb flank steak, sliced into thin strips
  • 12 oz cooked gluten-free noodles
  • 1/3 cup low sodium beef or veggie broth
  • 1/2 cup coconut aminos (or tamari)
  • 1 tbsp sesame oil
  • 1 tbsp arrowroot starch
  • 2 tbsp honey
  • 34 cloves of garlic, minced
  • 2 tsp fresh minced ginger
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • Sea salt, to taste
  • Sesame seeds for garnish
  • Green onion for garnish
  • Chili oil for garnish

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, whisk together the sauce ingredients: coconut aminos, sesame oil, arrowroot starch, honey, minced garlic, minced ginger, black pepper, and sea salt. Set aside.
  2. Heat a large skillet over medium heat and add 1 tbsp of oil. Cook the broccoli florets for 5-8 minutes until tender yet crisp. Remove from the pan.
  3. In the same skillet, add another tablespoon of oil and sear the flank steak for about 2-3 minutes on each side until medium rare. Season with salt and pepper.
  4. Lower the heat slightly and return the broccoli to the skillet along with cooked noodles and broth. Pour in the prepared sauce mixture and stir well. Cook for about 5 minutes until the sauce thickens.
  5. Serve hot, garnished with sesame seeds, sliced green onions, and chili oil if desired.
